This challenge has been one of my favorites, so far. I actually had something to post last week, but when I saw that nobody else posted, I thought I would take the extra week to just tweak this thing like crazy and add some things that I've wanted to do for these challenges.

I decided to make this fish an officer/squad car hybrid. I gave her the colors of a police car (I tried to make the top fin look like red & blue police lights), and then gave her a classic bobby hat. With her starfish hat badge, she's ready for a night of sea patrol.

Super Awesome! This is one of my new favorites of yours, great work Ryan. I should be able to work on the next challenge with you guys.
This is so cute! I love the giant lip, and the subtle scales are awesome.
I wanted to participate at first, but I didn't know what lurpy meant... and I looked it up on dictionary.com and they were pretty much like 'yeah, that's not a word.." Is it slang..? I feel dumb. ;p
You guys are too nice. Thanks for the comments.
Dusty - I'm glad you are back and that your wedding went well. Congrats to you and your wife!
Katie - I'm not sure how to explain lurpy. I used it a lot growing up, and it kind of became it's own word. I guess the best way to describe it would be goofy or awkward in appearance or the way they act... I think. :)
Oh... And, I appreciate you guys noticing the scales. At first, I tried using a pattern to define the scales, but it didn't work with the shape of the body, so I ended up placing each one of the scales by hand in the texture. Call me a glutton for punishment, but I couldn't let it go.
